Was rinse aid spilled inside the tub?
Spilled rinse aid can cause foam and lead to overflowing. Wipe up any spilled rinse aid with a damp cloth. To avoid rinse aid leaks, make sure the cap is securely attached.
If suds are present:
- Use a plastic cup to scoop out as many suds as possible.
- Remove dishes from the dishwasher and add 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable cooking oil to the bottom of the dishwasher to suppress suds.
- Run a full cycle with no detergent or dishes.
- Follow with a full cycle; fill dispenser cups with detergent, but do not add dishes.
Is Rinse Aid Dispenser Leaking?
If the dispenser is empty within 1 week of fully filling, there may be a leak within the dispenser, which can create sudsing. Call for service to replace the rinse aid dispenser.
