Not Operating - Microwave Drawer

Possible Solutions

Does the Microwave have Power?

If the microwave will not turn on check to make sure their is power going to the microwave.  Verify the circuit breaker hasn't tripped or blown a fuse.

Is the Control Lock set?

The Control Lock disables the control panel pads to avoid unintended use of the microwave oven. If the control lock is activated the microwave will not start. To Lock or Unlock touch and hold the "Control Lock" button for 3 seconds.

Is the Kitchen Timer set?

The Timer may be set and is counting down the set time.  The Timer does not start or stop the microwave oven.  While the Timer is in use, the microwave oven can also operate.

Is the microwave in Demo Mode?

The Demo Mode (on some models) is ideal for learning how to use the microwave oven. When set, functions can be entered without actually turning on the magnetron. The microwave oven light will come on and the fan will run. To turn demo mode on/off touch the "Setup" button five times, then touch and hold "Start" for 3 seconds.

Is the microwave Heating?

To test if the microwave is heating:

  • Place one cup (250 mL) of water on the turntable
  • Start the microwave oven for 1 minute on the HI setting (100% Power)

If heat rise is detected, the microwave is heating.

Are the controls set correctly?

If the microwave isn't heating properly or is taking a long time to heat food, check the power level when using manual settings. If you're using a preset function, make sure it matches what you're cooking, as options like 'Melt' use a lower power level.

Manual cooking:

  1. Touch COOK TIME
  2. Touch the number pads to enter time
  3. Touch COOK POWER (if not 100%), touch number pads to enter power level (10 - 90)
  4. Touch the Start control.

Reset power to the product:

  • Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute.
  • Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).
  • Monitor the oven for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
  • Verify oven operation.
