Steam Coming through Vents - Commercial Range

Possible Solution

This is part of normal operation.

High moisture content foods can create steam in the oven cavity which could condensate on the door, cavity, and/or dials.  This is part of normal operation, use a soft cloth or paper towel to wipe the moisture off.

The oven vent should not be blocked or covered since it allows the release of hot air and moisture from the oven. Blocking or covering the vent will cause poor air circulation, affecting cooking and cleaning results. Do not set plastics, paper, or other items that could melt or burn near the oven vent.

NOTE: Ensure the door is fully closed and installed properly.  See the "Oven Concern" section in this Troubleshooting Guide for additional information.
