Burner Cap (Spreader) Installation - Gas and Dual Fuel Range
Possible Solutions
Verify that the burner cap (spreader) is installed correctly
If the spreader is not installed correctly, the flame will not emit an even heat. It could have specific hot spots, where the flame is large in one area.
NOTE: The igniter is located on the left side of the oval burner. The spreader has a small opening that must face the left side. That small opening sits very close to the igniter. See pictures below.
