Removing Odors and Smells from the Microwave

Try using lemon juice or vinegar to help remove odors and/or smells from the microwave.

Thoroughly clean the microwave's interior using mild soap and water with a soft cloth or sponge, removing any food debris or spills.
Heat 1 cup (250 mL) of water with 1 tbs (15 mL) of lemon juice or vinegar in the microwave for 2 to 5 minutes.
Dry the interior with a microfiber cloth.

This is normal for the first few convection and/or grill cycles to produce an odor. The odor will dissipate with repeated use.
