Oven Door Locked - Wall Oven

Possible Solutions

Has a "Self-Clean" cycle started?

The door will lock during a self-clean cycle. Once the oven has cooled to approximately 200F(95C), it will unlock. To cancel a self-clean cycle, Press the Cancel/Off key.

If a "Self-Clean" cycle is interrupted by a power failure, press the Cancel/Off key to start a latch reset, wait 20-30 seconds, and open the door, or turn the power off at the circuit breaker or fuse box for one minute, then turn it back on.

If the oven has a manual latch handle:

Allow the oven to cool, approximately 30-90 minutes, move the latch arm to the left to unlock the door. If the latch arm will not move after cooling to room temperature or is stuck between the full right and full left positions, schedule service.

Reset power to the product:

  • Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) or fuse(s) for one (1) minute.
  • Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s) or fuse(s).
  • Monitor the oven for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
  • Verify oven operation.
