Upper Rack Concerns - Dishwasher

Are there chips or scratches on the rack tines?

Do not wash rusty metal items such as graters, potato peelers, cast-iron items or items that may scratch or chip the dishwasher tines in the dishwasher. 

A dishwasher rack repair kit can be used to cover chips or scratches on the rack tines.

Are you experiencing movement issues with the rack (difficult to slide in and out)?

If the dishwasher is new, make sure that all shipping material is removed from inside the dishwasher. Also make sure that there is no debris caught in the wheels and that large objects (pans, cutting boards, long spoons, etc.) are not interfering with the movement of the rack.

Is the upper rack rolling forward?

If the dishwasher is not level, the upper rack may roll forward when loading or unloading items. Make sure that the dishwasher is level and that the upper rack is pushed in all the way.

Is the upper rack position too low or too high?

The adjustable upper rack can be raised or lowered to accommodate taller plates, platters, pots or pans in the upper or lower racks. 

To raise or lower the upper rack, press both rack adjusters and lift or lower the rack until it is in the desired position and level.

NOTE: Always unload the upper rack before adjusting.
