Control Panel or Interface Not Working - Column

Possible Solutions

Was the power recently interrupted? 

The power outage indicator lets you know if the power supply to the refrigerator or freezer has been cut off and the temperature has risen. When power has been restored, “Power Outage” will appears on the display screen. 

Is the column in sleep mode?

If the refrigerator or freezer is in the sleep mode the control panel will only have the Jenn-Air logo illuminated.  This occurs when the doors are opened with no interaction with the control panel or two minutes after the last selection was made. 

To deactivate sleep mode touch the Jenn-Air logo.

Is the column in Sabbath mode? 

Sabbath Mode is designed for those whose religious observances require turning off the lights and dispensers. In Sabbath Mode, the temperature set points remain unchanged, but the interior and dispenser lights turn off, all sounds and alarms are disabled.

To turn Sabbath mode "On" or "Off": Touch the Jenn-Air logo and hold "Sabbath" for 3 seconds. 

Is the column in showroom or demo mode?

This mode is used when the refrigerator or freezer is on display, in a retail store, or if you want to turn the cooling off and deactivate all other functions except interior lighting. In this mode, the control panel will respond to most commands, but will not execute them.  If you unintentionally turn on Showroom mode, the word “Showroom” will light up on the display. 

To turn showroom mode on/off: Press and Hold "Top Zone" and "Jenn-Air logo for 3 seconds

Reset the refrigerator/freezer

If the control panel is still not responding, try resetting the refrigerator or freezer as instructed below. If the problem persists, schedule service.

Reset power to the product:

  • Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) or unplugging the product for 5 minutes.
  • Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s) or plugging the product back in.
  • Ensure the cooling function is turned on.
  • Test the control panel functionality.
