Interior Moisture Buildup - Undercounter Refrigerator

Possible Solutions

Is the environment more humid than normal?

It is normal for some moisture to build up inside of your refrigerator when the air is humid. Use a soft cloth or towel to remove.

Is the door opened often?

To avoid humidity buildup, try to get everything you need out of the refrigerator at once. When the door is opened, humidity from the room air enters the refrigerator. The more often the door is opened, the faster humidity builds up, especially when the room itself is very humid.

  • Keep wine bottles, and beverages positioned label side up so that they are easy to find
  • Close the door as soon as the items are removed.

Are the controls set correctly for the surrounding conditions?

The preset settings should be correct for normal household usage.  Keeping the temperature too low or too warm could increase moisture build-up, especially when the area is warmer or more humid than normal.

  • Wait 24 hours after you turn on the refrigerator before you put food or beverages into the refrigerator. If you add food before the drawers have cooled completely, your food may spoil.
  • Adjusting the controls to a lower (colder) setting will not cool them any faster.
