Is there standing water in the filter area?

It is normal for there to be a small amount of standing water in the dishwasher filter area. You may notice this water when your remove your dishwasher filters for regular cleaning. The water is there to keep the seals in that area from drying up. This small amount of water is drained when you start your next cycle and is replaced with fresh water.
