How to reset the water filter status light?
The water filter status needs to be reset every time the water filter is replaced, it does not automatically reset. While you are dispensing water, the “Replace Filter” icon will flash constantly from beginning to the end of dispensing. After 14 days without replacing the water filter, the “Replace Filter” icon will blink seven times and an alert tone will sound three times at the end of dispensing
The “Replace Filter” icon will remain illuminated if a filter reset is not completed.
To reset the filter status: Press and hold the "Filter Reset" button for 3 seconds. Once the countdown has completed the "Replace Filter" indicator will turn off.
When should you replace your water filter?
It is recommended that the water filter be replaced every 6 months, when the indicator light comes on, or as needed. A clogged or incorrectly installed water filter will reduce the water flow to the ice maker and dispenser, which could result in small ice cubes, low ice production and/or longer dispensing times. If the filter is clogged and you are not able to immediately replace it, leave the filter out so the water system is in bypass mode. With the filter removed, the water system will continue to operate, bypassing the filter, and the clogged filter will not cause slow water dispensing or low ice production. However, in order to have filtered water, you will need to install a new filter.
