How to Calibrate the Oven

How to Calibrate your Jenn-Air Range or Oven

The oven provides accurate temperatures but may cook faster or slower than your previous oven. The oven temperature can be adjusted to fit your needs. If you have determined your oven needs to be calibrated, below are the most common calibration methods. Each method will be specific to your range or oven, so each method may need to be tried to determine which is correct for your specific model. 

Determine Calibration Method Oven Calibration Directions

Method 1

Does your control have a settings, options, or tools button?

  1. Toggle through the settings and select either temperature calibration or oven calibration (depending on the model).

  2. Follow the displayed instructions to increase or decrease oven temperature.

  3. Press START to save the adjustment, or press Cancel to exit without change.

Method 2

If you press and hold the Temp/Time down arrow keypad for 5 seconds does the oven display show the current setting, for example, “0°F CAL” or “00.”?

  1. Press the Temp/Time up or down arrow keypad to increase or decrease the temperature in 5°F (3°C) amounts. The adjustment can be set between 30°F (18°C) and -30°F (-18°C).

  2. Press START to save the adjustment, or press Cancel to exit without change.

Method 3

If you press and hold BAKE for 5 seconds does the oven display show the current calibration, for example, “00.”?

  1. Press the TEMP/TIME “up” or “down” arrow pad(s) to increase or decrease the temperature in 10°F (6°C) amounts. The adjustment can be set between 30°F (17°C) and -30°F (-17°C).

  2. Press START to save the adjustment, or press Cancel to exit without change.

Does Your Jenn-Air Range or Oven Need to be Calibrated? 

If you feel that your oven temperatures are inaccurate, it's possible that your oven needs to be calibrated (slight temperature change). A test can be performed to determine if your range or oven is baking at the correct temperature.
