Cleaning the Control Knob and Control Panel

Pre-Cleaning Safety Checklist

• Turn off controls: Ensure the drawer is switched completely to the Off position.
• Allow to cool: Wait until the warming drawer, panel, and all accessories are fully cool before cleaning.
• Wipe acidic spills promptly: Tomato sauce, citrus juice, and vinegar can etch and discolor panel finishes. Clean these spills as soon as the appliance reaches room temperature.

Removing and Cleaning the Control Knob

1. Remove: Grip the control knob firmly and pull it straight out, away from the control panel. Do not twist or pry with tools.
2. Wash: Clean the knob using warm water, a mild dish soap, and a soft cloth or sponge. Do not soak the knob in water, as trapped moisture can damage internal stem clips or tension springs.
3. Dry: Wipe thoroughly with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
4. Reinstall: Align the knob with the stem in the Off position and press it straight back onto the shaft until seated flush.

Cleaning the Control Panel Faceplate

1. Dampen cloth: Lightly dampen a soft microfiber cloth with warm, soapy water. Avoid over-saturating the cloth—never spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
2. Wipe gently: Clean the panel surface around the knob shaft using light pressure.
3. Dry immediately: Buff the area with a dry microfiber cloth to eliminate streaks and prevent moisture from migrating behind the control housing.
